Mike started bartending on his 21st birthday. (Actually before that...it's long story that the department of alcohol beverage control probably doesn't want to hear about) Mike started in restaurants at 18 as a dishwasher/bus boy then server, bartender, bar manager, manager. He paid his way through college bar managing at Massanutten Ski Resort in Virginia where he met Blind Bill. He then went on to bar manage one of the largest restaurants on the coast of North Carolina. Over his career Mike has worked at over a dozen different establishments of every category in food and beverage.
